Round 5, Ready? FIGHT!

I was thinking of 2 things (surprisingly, I don't think anyone has thought of this...mainly the first one) :

1. Do you, as an SFO Player, think it is a good idea to have the ability to increase your round counts for longer, or short fights? To be able to play a 1 on 1 fight and be able to play just 1 round or a best out of 5? Or 2 on 2 fight with more rounds than just 1?

2. Do you, as an SFO Player, this it is a good idea to have a better 'announcer' before the fight? One that makes the game seem 'more energetic'? Or do you think its fine as is...despite that I'm sure majority of you don't even really notice it...

I goofed on the other one, so use this one for your feedback. Of course, I'ma vote yes on both because I believe it'll benefit the game, it wouldn't hurt the game at all as far as I see it. One is cosmetic, the other is for gameplay.

1- definetely since there are tournaments going on here. besides having for example best out of 5, putting round 5 up should say who won it (game set match for the winner) or best out of 7, putting 7 rounds and thats that. tournaments can go smoothly and fast with your idea. I like it.

2- announcer, it's probably what few people need to get their "power-up" going. mix it up with mp3 or other music and thats set.

I'm not sure about number 2 but thats me. I get extra power-up from stuff that are funny & exiting.

in all games.. I found the announcer got really annoying... but the first idea is great... it would really come in handy (like shadow was saying) in tourneys and various events...

I voted "no" for both.

1) I believe that a best-of-3 still retains the most intensity in a 1-on-1 bout. Simple to understand, no fuss, no confusion. Any other expansion of the format might lose ppl along the way.

2) Well, as mentioned by EvilHaku himself, this is purely cosmetic. Let's not let the annoucer steal the show and let the focus stay on the gameplay instead.

I somewhat agree with your first idea.. I would rather see more rounds in tag matches only.. I don't really care about the announcer so..

As I think about it, I too even think #2 will happen over time. If its ever added...I'm sure it won't be much. We actually have a little announcement in our fights anyway if anyone has noticed. He just says Ready! Fight!...but is usually drowned out by the spamming of hadoukens before he says any of it lol.

Thats why I was also thinking he should extend the time before ppl fight...cuz once again, once the game is loaded, in like 2 seconds or less, you are already recieving like 20 hadoukens at your face...this could also give the game some time to sync the players up, no?

err...No to both.

Though I wouldn't mind 5 rounds in 1 on 1, anything over 1 round in a tag match is insane. Tag battles can already last a really long time even if there is only one round.

And I LIKE the current announcer.

5 rounds would be long, especially if one is fighting a person who is the same level as the other and just jumping from screen to screen fighting back and forth and not get anywhere. 5 rounds would be a bit to much.

I would agree to 5 rounds if fps could be 60...but since that won't happen, then 3 rounds should be the maximum
