Nvidia users had trouble running this game for years... The problem would occur when a player would attempt to run this game (whether web or download version) and it would crash.
We thought we had a solution... (aka reinstalling graphic drivers, peep the OG threads which doesn't work btw ![]() My original solution thread from 2017 Murder's solution video from 2020 Now in 2021 going into 2022.. there's a legit solution that will make your game work 100% whether that's web version (which will be updated in a few weeks on the main website aka MSFT Edge with IE mode) or downloaded version. Why SFO crashes with Nvidia GPUs? There is a bug with Shockwave which Adobe has not created any official fix for and will never fix it since Adobe killed off the last bit of Shockwave support back in 2019. If you try and play Shockwave content on a Windows 10/11 PC with newer Nvidia graphics drivers, the plugin will crash and become non-interactable. This happens because of a change in the specification, which causes a buffer overflow. When Shockwave gets the renderer services, it attempts to check if your Nvidia driver is one of many "Bad Drivers" that don't support Shockwave. It does this by comparing the name of the driver to a list of bad driver names. In previous Windows versions (Windows 8.1 and under), this driver name was just the filename of its DLL file. However starting with Windows 10 and now Windows 11, it is supposed to be the full path to it (which currently only Nvidia conforms to.) Shockwave only allocates 255 bytes for this string, so it overflows and causes a crash. Solution? You can resolve this issue manually by editing back the registry value with the driver name to be only the filename instead of the full pathname. DISCLAIMER: This involves making changes into your Windows Registry. If you attempt to do this, please make a backup of your registry first. You can view this link on how to make a backup. 1.) Click Start and in the search box type in "Registry Editor". Right click on this and select "Run as Administrator". 2.) go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Video 3.) Press Ctrl+F, make sure the option to search for Values is checked and search for InstalledDisplayDrivers and you should arrive at a Registry Key called 0000 with the InstalledDisplayDrivers value selected. 4.) Right click the Registry Key 0000 and hit Export. Save the file with any name - this is just to make a backup of the old state you can revert to at any time. 5.) Now right click InstalledDisplayDrivers value and click Modify... this will pop up a dialog box with a either a single pathname, or multiple (comma seperated.) For every pathname here, strip the path and file extension to leave just the filename (for example, "C:/example/nvldumdx.dll" should become "nvldumdx"). If there are multiple pathnames, do it for all of them, leaving the commas between. 6.) Now hit OK. The Shockwave issue is resolved. Unfortunately, you will have to apply this fix every time you update your Nvidia drivers. Web Version running on Nvidia GPU.. ![]()

![]() As of right now, there's no working downloaded version for MacOS. I'm waiting for TMyApp to update me on some legacy files, but he claims he forgot how to make a legacy download build and been so depended on TotalReincarnation's app for several years now. So for now, you will need to play on an older version of Safari.
