Ready button

Well from general observation it seems more and more people are getting wireless internet at home,usually the reason being it's a betetr way than paying for several different connections as instead with a router you can do that all under one connection.

Now obviously,guys with routers can't host so we are forced to join games where we get exploited because the hoster seems to get all power over the matter.

Currently they set levels,select game modes etc and the rank hunters or just generally cheap people will try changing modes when they agreed a certain type of match etc.

So basically i was thinking when people have joined,the hoster has to pick a mode (e.g. 1on1 or 2 on 2 etc)

Once this happens everyone in the server is prompted to click the ready button (to say they agree to playing this mode).
Once this as happened the hoster can pick the usual stuff such as power levels.However they can't go back and change mode without everyone re entering the ready button again to say they agree to it.

A brief example:

Hoster
player 2 enters
Player 3 Enters
Player 4 Enters

Hoster picks 2 on 2 tag
Ready button appears(everyone clicks it with there mouse)

The hoster changes his mind he wants to pick a different mode,so changes it to BRAWL,players 2,3,4 are again promted to click the ready button to agree.

It's simple enough,any problems such as people not clicking ready are easily dealt with since the hoster can just kick them or whatever.

In the event the hoster kicks someone from the server section of there game they'll have to re pick the mode though.

hmm k i get u now

but is it that necessary?. seems uve been tricked to play brawl by hosters o.O but normally when someones gonna play brawl u c someone saying "everybody join my 2 on 2 brawl" or something of that matter. away from brawl i dont c any problem with the hoster changing the game mode (unless its dwx which u cant super jump), in any case theres always the leave button which u can use if youc the hoster switching to brawl.

which i do do,but it's kinda sad that i have to watch my back in case people wanna dube me like that,besides it's more of a problem for VIP's i think.

I think it's an addition that can make things slightly easier for people but as you say i can just leave now games if they try it.Unfortunatly not all players are aware you can leave like that,plus you could be chatting and they click ready,infact it's a well used tactic by people to say "hi how are you" then instantly click start game so you automatically pick ryu because you typed "Hi" back.

^Whether accidental or not the ready button feature would also eliminate this problem.

Oh I understand now. Yes, the part where everyone clicks which mode they would want to play sounds good, but what if one person doesn't click the ready button? Your sitting there for a long time waiting instead of getting straight into the match. I don't know, there's pros and cons to this idea. I just can't get into the concept of waiting for someone to click there ready. =/

THis is the greatest idea ever its like the wheel but it hasnt been invented yet. I've been tricked into playing brawl or chatting when the games already started and u pick the wrong character. I hope this gets added in the future

Hmm, no cons, can't seem to find any in this. Hmm, what about observers? They will have a ready button too correct? But it doesn't really matter since most of the people I see kick observers, or if there's too much people for one game (me no like this at all, it's kinda rude kicking people like that, but it's the host's choice) Well, it's a great idea, hope it gets intergrated into the game.

hmm good point on the observers,i'd say the game wouldn't need to ask them for permission but if problems were caused because of this,the ready button may have to be extended to observers aswell,however most observers usually get kicked so i can't see it being to much of a problem either way.

I out the ready buttion idea like time ago and it hasn't been added yet. so i guess tmyapp don't know how to add it.

I'm not so sure about that,besides i think it's got good potential,as far as i can see there's no real downside because ppl now have the choice of picking a game mode,even if there not hosting and if ppl refuse to click ready you can always kick them.
